Letter to the editor: Support weed tree removal

By CAMERON KULOW

Editor,

About a year ago our Boy Scout Troop (271) helped the extension agent poison some of the Russian Olive trees south of the bridge over the Price River on the First North entry.

The river bed between Price and Helper has been taken over by this weed tree keeping the native trees from getting the water and nourishment that they need to survive. It makes me feel good to see the trees taken out of the river bed.

I hope the people will support their efforts to restore the natural vegetation along the Price River.
