EAST CARBON - Rose L Hayworth died peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2009. She was 59 years old.

She was born to Claude and Clara Duncan of Wellington on Nov. 13, 1949 in Kenilworth.

Her life was fraught with pain and illness, but she continued to persevere onward, especially after the births of her grandchildren.

Rose worked in the underground coal mines, the open pit mines, and operated heavy equipment - doing jobs that were typically dominated by men.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Mark and Bill; her beloved mother, Clara; and her father, Claude. She is survived by her daughter, Rosie of Arizona; son, Willy of Utah; and daughter Shelly, also of Utah. She had seven grandchildren, with a great-grandchild expected in January 2010.

Rose was our mother. She was kind and generous to a fault.

She is and will be forever missed. And we will love her eternally.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
