PRICE - Our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Elsie Mae Lermusiaux Verdi, fell asleep in death July 22, 2009 following complications from a stroke.

Born May 28, 1923 in Pryor, Colo., to Arthur M. and Elsie Mae Lermusiaux.

She moved to Kenilworth in 1944 with her family, where she was affectionately known as "Nookie." Soon thereafter, her father was killed in a mine explosion and she began caring for younger siblings left behind.

On June 17, 1949, Elsie married James "Ace" Verdi and the two remained together until his death in 1984.

She was a member of the Price congregation of Jehov-ah's Witnesses.

Elsie is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Felina Verdi, Greeley, Colo.; and David and Alisha Verdi, Payson; as well as the loves of her life, her three grandchildren, Morgan, Araela and Kellen. Elsie also leaves behind a very loving family of nieces, nephews, in-laws and numerous friends.

Her kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 720 N. Cedar Hills Drive, Price.

The family would like to thank Alpine Hospice and the numerous friends and relatives for their care and concern shown during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, Mom requests that you make a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.
