SPRING GLEN/LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Linda Elizabeth Herron Blaha, age 65, passed away July 6, 2009 at Castleview Hospital in Price.

She was born March 13, 1944 in Louisville, Ky., to Ottie and Myrtle Perkins Herron. Linda married Albert Blaha Sept. 5, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nev. Their marriage was solemnized in the Las Vegas LDS Temple on Jan. 24, 2004.

Linda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She enjoyed traveling with her family and playing bingo.

Linda was happiest when she was caring for others or fixing a special dish in her kitchen.

She loved baking and her cookies were a delight that took top honors in the county fair.

Her kindness, warmth and unconditional love will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Blaha, Helper; four sons and one daughter, Donald W. Mason Jr., John Thomas (Brenda) Mason, Diana Ball and Robert Lawrence, Billy (Kimberly) Mason, all of Louisville, Ky.; and Chris Blaha, Helper; four sisters and two brothers, Carol (Robert) Simpson, Bardstown, Ky.; Susie (James) Stinson, Sunnyset, Ky.; Earlene (Sammy) Smith, Monticello, Ky.; Sherry (Ron) Boss, Washington, Ky.; Don (Sandra) Herron and John Wayne Smith, both of Louisville, Ky. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wilma Kessler.

Funeral services for Linda were Tuesday, July 7, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price. A visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at Scharrer-Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Ky. Interment will take place at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Ky.
