PRICE - Ronald Jerry Hopkins, age 52, passed away June 28, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Sept. 7, 1956 in Montrose, Colo., to William Ezra and Aline Fay Paige Hopkins.
Rod was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and repairing small engines.
He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his six brothers and three sisters, Rick (Bobbi) Hopkins, Price; Bill (Cheryl) Hopkins, Moab; Leonard (Linda) Hopkins, Grand Junction, Colo.; Donna Hopkins, Missouri; Barbara (Johnny) Eades, South Carolina; Delores (Jim) Davis, Moab; Marvin (Vivian) Hopkins, LaSal; Charles Hopkins, Norwood, Colo.; Dennis Hopkins, South Carolina; daughter, Sarah Hopkins, East Carbon; special nephews, David, Jerry Lemon; and Justin Hopkins; and many other loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Hopkins; brothers, Don Wayne and John Hopkins; and sister, Ruby Griffin.
Memorial service Sunday, July 5, 1 p.m., in Moab. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to help with expenses.
