High school rodeo rides on during Utah state finals
Members of Carbon Rodeo Club recently competed at Utah High School Rodeo State Finals. Two young men from this club have qualified to compete on Utah's Team for Silver State International Rodeo in Fallon, Nevada and the National High School Rodeo Finals in Farmington, New Mexico.
Kache Moosman, placed seventh in bull riding at state finals and will be competing at Silver State July fourth through ninth. This is Moosman's second and final year rodeoing for the high school rodeo association.
Last year, he was the Panguitch Invitational Reserve Champion Bull Rider and won the Broken Heart Bull Riding Saddle Series. He will be attending college in the fall for Utah Valley University in Orem where he was offered a scholarship. He will be going into Diesel Mechanics or studying to become a machinist and rodeoing for their team.
Bo Edwards, placed fourth in bull riding at state finals and will be competing at the National Finals July 19 to 25. At state finals, he received a Utah High School Rodeo Association scholarship. This is Edwards fourth and final year high school rodeoing. He was Utah's High School Rodeo Association Reserve champion bull rider in 2007. He has competed at national finals for three years and silver state last year, where he won the SSIR bull riding champion title. In the National Little Britches Rodeo Association, he held the title of Reserve World Champion Bull Rider.
In the fall, he will be attending Odessa College in Odessa, Texas going into diesel mechanics and riding bulls for their rodeo team. He received an Odessa College Rodeo scholarship.
