Deadline for FYI - is Tuesday at noon. Submissions may be sent by regular mail, dropped off at the office at 845 East Main in Price or emailed to fyi@sunad.com.

All items are subject to editing. First and last names are required for telephone numbers. FYI sections are published on a space permitting basis.

Sunnyside Rodeo - The event is slated July 10 and July 11 at the Sunnyside arena. For information, contact Linda Andrews at 888-9923.

Greek Festival Days - The cultural event will be presented July 10 and July 11 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 61 South 200 East in Price.

Activities will include Greek food and pastries, live entertainment, prize drawings, church tours and games for children.

Wellington Mountaineers Rodeo - The event is scheduled July 24 and July 25 at the Wellington arena. The pre-rodeo will start at 7 p.m.

The rodeo queen contest is slated July 12 at 6:30 p.m. For information, contact Helene Majors at 637-3759.

Food handlers classes - Two-hour sessions are scheduled July 14, Aug. 11 and Sept. 8 at 9 a.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Southeastern Utah Health District in Price. Classes will also be taught July 15, Aug. 12 and Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the health department in Castle Dale.

Power wheelchair, scooter battery maintenance - Training sessions are planned from 10 a.m. until noon on July 13 at Active Re-Entry in Price and July 30 at East Carbon housing authority.

Lunch will be provided for participants who RSVP to Active Re-Entry at 637-4950.

Western Mining and Railroad Museum - Located at 296 South Main in Helper, the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. For information, Castle Valley residents may contact the museum at 472-3009.

Carbon County Triad - meets the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Price public safety dispatch center.Members focus on law enforcement and aging programs to assist the elderly.

Immunization clinic hours - Clinics are scheduled at Southeastern Utah Health District Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. For information, contact the public health department at 637-3671.

Women's cancer screening - Women 50 years of age or older may qualify for free breast and cervical cancer exams and mammograms. Women ages 40 to 49 may qualify for a low-cost exam. For information, call the health district at 637-3671.

Carbon County Animal Shelter - AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Carbon County RSVP - Residents who would like to lend a helping hand or need the assistance of volunteers may contact the Price RSVP program at 637-9118 or call the East Carbon office.

Carbon County Family Support and Children's Justice Center - offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old. The crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m. For information, call the center at 637-0281.

Price library - Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., closed Saturday and Sunday.

Story time is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. for toddlers, Tuesday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 1 p.m.

English as a second language classes are Monday and Thursday at 6 p.m. Basic literacy classes are scheduled as needed. For information, contact the library at 636-3188.

Helper library - Hours are Monday through Thursday, noon to 6 p.m.; Friday, noon to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library offers Internet accessible computers and will obtain books for patrons through the inter-facility loan program. For information, contact the library at 472-5601.

CEU Library - Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Saturday; and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Carbon County Humane Society - offers clinics the third Tuesday of the month at 5 S. Carbon Avenue, Price. Contact the society at 637-0588 for appointments.

Castle Country Habitat for Humanity - is accepting applications for homes from eligible candidates. The office is located at 150 South 700 East in Price.
