Jack and Elena Hatch of Helper announce the marriage of their daughter, Mallorie Ann Hatch, to Jacob Robert Smith, the son of Marlene Prescott and Dennis Acker of Waunakee, Wis., and Marvin and Elizabeth Smith of Pocatello, Idaho. The wedding will be June 27 at Carbon Country Club.

Mallorie graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's of art degree from the University of Utah in 2004. She earned a master's degree in anthropology from Idaho State University in 2006. Jacob graduated from Idaho State University in 2006 with a BA in anthropology.

The couple will make their home in Tempe, where Mallorie is completing her doctorate degree at Arizona State University in bioarchaeology and Jacob works as a business development coordinator for a multinational corporation.
