Herman Dempsey Riffle Sr. will celebrate his 90th birthday June 20 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at his home, located at 510 Pinion in Sunnyside.

He was born June 20, 1919 in Harford, W.Va.

He moved to Sunnyside on June 20, 1943 to work for Kaiser Steel and retired in 1982.

He has one daughter, Billie June, and three sons, Tony, Skip and John.
