BOUNTIFUL/PRICE - Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma and yaya, Evangeline "Vangie" Siaperas Redmond, 71, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born March 25, 1938 in Sunnyside, the daughter of Pete and Anna Kanakas Siaperas.
She grew up in Price and graduated from Carbon High in 1956.
She married Dan W. Redmond March 17, 1970 in Elko, Nev.
Vangie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading working in her flower garden and traveling.
The love of her life were her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; son, Steve Blanke (Jan); daughters, Valerie Morton and Danna Redmond (Brian Pepin); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Andy and Ted Siaperas; and sister, Diamond Siaperas Fullmer. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Nick, Johnny and Marino; and sister, Amelia.
Graveside survives were Monday, June 1, at Bountiful City Cemetery.
