State commission recognizes local vounteers with Utah 2009 Silver Bowl awards

Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert presents a Utah 2009 Silver Bowl Award to Carbon County resident Margaret Colosimo. Ten-year-old Kaylee Bruno of Price also received the statewide award, sponsored by the Utah Commission on Volunteers. The honor recognized Colosimo for volunteering more than 40 hours per week to several local support groups, organizations and Notre Dame Catholic Church. Bruno has volunteered at the cat farm for almost two years and assists at Carbon County Humane Society's spay and neuter clinics.
