Elder James Levi Bates has accepted a call to serve in the Chili-Santiago north mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Elder Bates will speak May 24 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center .

He is the son of Bill and Alisa Bates. He is the grandson of Charles and Phyllis Bradshaw, Ellen Bates and the late James Bates.

Elder Bates will report at the missionary training center in Provo on June 3.
