Helper City councilman Larry Ganser points to a separation that officials in the town have noticed in the walkway under the Janet Street railroad bridge. Cracks in the concrete and deterioration of cement is apparent in many places on the plus 70 year old structure. The city is working with Union Pacific Railroad to determine whether the deterioration is detrimental to the bridge's integrity.
