Fire equipment inspections underway in Carbon County

Price City Fire Chief Paul Bedont and Tony Pollock of Diversified Inspections/ITL watch as a ladder sags under 500 pounds of weight applied to it during equipment testing and inspections on Tuesday. Bedont said ladders and other fire equipment must stand up to vigorous test to be deemed safe for use by emergency crews. Time, fire heat and general stress can take a toll.
