Letter to the editor: Put Americans to work

By PAUL YOUNG
St. George

Editor:

Every person that is reading this has in the past or will continue in the future to receive phone calls with a foreign person speaking in a broken American dialect. They have or will be trying to sell something.

I say hang up on them. Do not talk to them. This is the reason Americans are losing their jobs; either these people are in foreign lands or are illegal aliens in this country.

When the companies that employ them come to the conclusion and realize that these employees are not making sales they will fire them and put American citizens back to work.

Let's smarten up and start filling these jobs with American citizens.

Oh, and just before you hang up on these people state clearly, "I will only order from those persons who speak the good old American language without a dialect."

The companies will know about your feelings because all these calls are monitored and recorded.
