In the early morning hours of April 30, a male subject reportedly robbed a lone bartender at knifepoint at Big Dog's Club, located at at 27 North 100 West in Price.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money after ordering the bartender to lock herself in a back room at the establishment.

Statements from patrons who spoke to the suspect prior to the robbery, and police follow-up investigations led Price City Police to the Carbonville home of James Joe Waldrop, 48 years of age.

Waldrop was arrested by Price City Police Detective Susan Hyde at his home on the afternoon of April 30, 2009.  Assisting with the arrest were Officer Brandon Sicilia, Deputy Travis Henrie and Captain Kevin Drolc.

Waldrop was booked into the Carbon County Jail on a charge of aggravated obbery.
