Letter to the editor: Called names

By TOM WARD

Editor:

I have been called a lot of names in my lifetime.

I have been called a racist because I don't support illegal immigration. I believe all law should be enforced and I don't support all of Obama's policies.

I have been called homo phobic because I don't believe in same sex marriage.

I've been told I am against women because I'm against abortion.

I've been called Rambo because I believe in the right to own a gun.

It's okay. I can live with being called these names. But to be called a potential terrorist because I served in the United States Navy for 14 years is just too much.

What has our government come to when all veterans are considered potential terrorists? This is not the American way.

I urge all veterans to contact their congressmen and senators about how you feel about being called a potential terrorist.
