EAST CARBON - Robert "Bob" Wayne Setzer, 54, passed away April 14, 2009 in California after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born on Aug. 28, 1954 in Sacramento, Calif., to Ned and Carma Setzer. Bob graduated from South Tahoe High School.
Bob was a retired police officer who was currently teaching for the College of Eastern Utah, Mining Department, a career which he was very proud of and dedicated to and enjoyed up until a month before his passing.
There are many within the community who have benefited from his trainings, whether it was mining certifications, first aid, CPR, EMT, hunters safety, concealed weapons or motorcycle safety.
Anyone who knew Bob knew of his love for motorcycles. He loved everything about them and it was a passion he shared with his children and one which will leave many happy memories.
His children were his greatest joy and he was so proud to be their dad, and he would go to any lengths to be there to support and love them.
He is survived by his three children, Skylar, Sarah Jo and Ashley; his father, Ned Setzer; one sister and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carma Setzer; and a sister.
Bob will truly be missed by his children, father, sister and brothers and all those who loved him and came to know this special man.
A memorial service will be conducted in Bob's honor on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at the Community Church in East Carbon, a church in which he was very proud to be a member.
