The Carbon girl's golf team really came through at the Delta Tournament last Thursday.

In windy, dusty and just all around bad weather they finished second place in the tournament. Carbon posted a team score of 85 points. They finished 11 points behind Delta and 23 points above Juan Diego.

Kelcy Otani and Shelby Wilson both posted scores of 32 each and Lexi Gagon made 21. As a team the Lady Dinos are still in third place, but with the second place finish this week gained a lot of ground on second place region spot.

Individually, Kelcy Otani moved into first place in region standings and Lexi Gagon and Shelby Wilson are now in ninth and 10th place respectively.

"This puts us in a good situation, especially with the next tournament being at home on Monday," stated Coach Kenji Otani, "I am very proud of my team. I just can't say enough about them, as players and people."
