The Carbon High tennis team lost to Delta and North Sanpete last week by the score of 3-2 in each match.

On Tuesday Carbon traveled to Delta. The top Carbon singles player Andres Hernandez won his match as did the top doubles team of Geoffry Vogel and Greg Diamanti. Several other players had good matches but could not take their sets.

On Wednesday against the Hawks it was the same thing as Hernandez, Vogel and Diamanti posted wins, but the Dinos lost their other sets.

Coach Pete Riggs felt like they could have taken either of the matches, but fell just short. He is encouraged at the improving play of his entire squad, especially his singles players.

Carbon heads to Salem Hills on Tuesday and then faces Juan Diego at home on Thursday with the matches starting at 3:30 p.m, on the Price City tennis courts.
