The Utah Farm Bureau and FFA hosted third graders from all the schools in the county on Wednesday March 25, as Bethany Truman and Malyn Brady helped the kids understand the complexities of farming. Half of the third graders attended the event in the morning and the other half went in the afternoon. The kids were given lessons on the importance of beef and pork. A lesson about where all the ingredients on a pizza come from and how long it takes them to be produced was followed up with a slice of pizza for all. The students saw a sheep seared and had a lesson on hand washing as well. They were introduced to a pair of horses and a pair of pigs and got to see green eggs. The students rotated through the various displays and lessons in the county fairgrounds complex while enjoying a break from traditional lessons.
