Price Recovery group - meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the CEU computer building.


Reach to Recovery - The American Cancer Society program matches a diagnosed breast cancer patient with a trained survivor who can answer questions and address concerns.

For information, local residents may contact Shanna Mezek at 637-3204.


NAMI - The local National Alliance on Mental Illness affiliate meets the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

Bridges and family classes are Thursday at 6:45 p.m. Contact Stella Smith at 637-1371 for location. Connection support group meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Sun Advocate office in Price.


MS support group- meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at Southeastern Utah Health District in Price.

For information, people may call Danny or Tami Velasquez at 637-0712.

Grieving parent support group - For parents who have lost a child, the group meets the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the classroom at Castleview Hospital.


Scooter & Wheelchair Users ADA support group - meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the housing authority, 251 S. 1600 East, Price.


Domestic violence support groups - are scheduled weekly. For information, local residents should call the 24-hour crisis line at 637-6589.


Grief support group - Open to all residents who have lost loved ones, the group meets monthly at Active Re-Entry.

AA, NA and Al-Anon meetings - schedule includes:

AA (open), daily, noon, Price Alano Club, 1267 Carbonville Road.

AA Coal Sober (open), Wednesday and Saturday, 8 p.m., Price Alano Club.

NA (open), Monday, 6 p.m., Four Corners Mental Health.

AA Stepsisters (closed), Tuesday, 4 p.m., Price Alano Club.

AA (open), Thursday, 7 p.m., Huntington senior center, 176 West 100 North.

AA (open), Tuesday and Friday, 7 p.m., East Carbon City Hall, 105 West Geneva Road.

NA (open) Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 8 p.m.; Friday (closed), 7 p.m.;

Saturday (open), 6:30 p.m., Price Alano Club.


Women’s cancer support group - meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Castleview’s classroom.

Caregivers support group - meets monthly at Active Re-Entry.

Life Line pregnancy assistance and support - provides alternatives to abortion for women with unplanned pregnancies.

Services include testing, verification, referrals to community resources and counseling.

The 24-hour crisis line number is 636-0700.

Donations and volunteers are welcomed.


Look Good, Feel Better - The American Cancer Society program helps women address the appearance related side effects of treatment.

The group meets the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at Castleview Hospital.

To register, Carbon County residents may contact Debbie Prichard at 613-5302.


Cancer resource center - Volunteers are needed to staff the American Cancer Society information center at Castleview Hospital.

Hours are flexible and training is free of charge. For information, local residents may call Gail Harding at 613-1132.


Newborns in Need- Residents are encouraged to donate baby items for needy infants in Carbon County. For information, contact Carol Miller at 637-3743.


Teen parenting class - is scheduled Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse. Thirty-six hours will equal one elective credit.
