At a sneak preview of one of next season's region opponents, Park City, the Lady Dinos wanted to make a good impression. They left the Park City Miner's worried about what next year might bring them as the Lady Dinos sent them packing in four innings with a 15-0 spanking.

It is always a coach's dream to start a season strong and the Carbon team gave Coach Tony Pinedo his wish. The Lady Dinos played errorlessly as they pounded out 12 hits to score 15 in their season opener.

Carbon scored in each of the four innings capping things off with a seven run third that pretty much ended the Lady Miners hopes of making a comeback.

Carbon pitcher Kenzie Cave gave up only four hits to the Miners as it was all Dinos. The bats were also booming for the Dinos with Hannah Downard going three of four with a pair of doubles. Alexis Oliver also slammed a pair of two baggers.

The team will take on South Sevier on the road on Thursday. Their next home game will be March 26 against Salem Hills to open region play. Game time will be at 3:30 for varsity action.
