Letter to the editor: Wasatch Front Symphony

By PAUL YOUNG
St. George

Editor:

I think it would in the interest of all those living in the state of Utah if the Utah Symphony would change their name to the Wasatch Front Symphony as this is the area where 95 percent of performances are given in Utah.

When was the last time that they performed in Beaver, Cache, Carbon, Emery, Duchesne, Garfield, Grand, Juab, Millard or the other 18 counties outside the Wasatch Front?

Do they make DVD's? If yes, where can they be purchased? Thare are many living in the urban and rural areas of Utah that enjoy their music, especially when they have guest artists and conductors. I have never seen any advertising on their part.

What a tragedy to those of us that enjoy their music but are denied the privilege of listening to them.
