County awakes to puddles, blue skies

Carbon County awakens Monday morning to sunny skies and deep puddles of water standing in numerous locations in the valley. Weekend rains produced more moisture overall in Castle Valley than has fallen in any storm in a long time. The thirsty ground absorbed the moisture and pools of water didn't start to appear until it had been raining for more than 24 hours on Saturday. The forecast predicts clearing and warming temperatures later in the week. Showers are possible at the end of next week.
