Lex and Deann Moosman visit their newborn baby girl, Sierra Monique. The couple welcomed the infant into the world Jan. 2 at 6:47 p.m. Sierra was the first infant born at Castleview Hospital in 2002 for Carbon County, therefore winning the title of the New Year's Baby. Sierra weighed five pounds two ounces at birth and measured 18 inches long. Despite suffering from complications at birth, Sierra is making dramatic improvements, yet the tiny little girl is still hospitalized in a northern Utah medical treatment facility.
