The Lenten lunches for this year will begin on Wednesday of this week.

Each year these lunches are held with the support of the many local churches as a community event.

The lunches are held by the United Methodist Women, in conjunction with the Ministerial Alliance and are held at the Community United Methodist Church on the corner of 200 East and Main Street across the street from the Price City Hall.

A community event, everyone is welcome for the next five Wednesdays. Food is served from noon to 12:30 p.m. and then an inspirational talk is given by various pastors from 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

The lunches will include the following dates and programs.

•March 4-Reverend Jim Drury from the Ascension St. Matthews Episcopal Lutheran Church of Price.
