OGDEN/EAST Carbon - Edna Pressett Lindsey, age 90, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Jan. 28, 2009 at the home of her son, Kent, in North Ogden.
She was born July 5, 1918 in Sunnyside to Humbert and Zina (Rasmussen) Pressett. She married Boyd Lindsey Sept. 2, 1936 in Sunnyside. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away Feb. 3, 1988.
Edna enjoyed playing cards with her friends, children and grandchildren.
She loved to quilt and made many beautiful quilts for a lot of people. She loved to cook and eat and was famous for her homemade peanut brittle.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served in many church callings - she was one of the best visiting teachers in church history.
She was always serving and taking care of others.
She worked in the school lunch program for many years.
The family would like to thank Alpine Hospice and Home Health Care workers, especially Wendy Heiner, her angel nurse.
She is survived by two sons, Kent (Linda) Lindsey of North Ogden and Brent Lindsey of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother; Leon ( Bessie) Pressett of East Carbon; sisters-in-law; Annie Timothy of Spring Glen and Lucille Pressett of Price; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd; brothers, Herman, Henry, Gene, Humbert, Leroy, Frank and Jack; granddaughter; Tracy Dalton.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 E.100 South, Price. Viewing will be Saturday from noon to 1:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.
