Mont Harmon hosts district Science Fair: Student winners announced at ceremony

The following students placed in the Mont Harmon Science Fair:
In animal science, Michael Webster took first in the junior division with Corey Sherman taking first in the senior division. In behavioral and social science, Forest Daniels took first, Chantz Richens brought home second and Joecee Heil placed third in the junior division. In the senior division, Jaylee Nielsen took first with Tracy Bedont placing second and Tanner Gagnon taking third.
In the cellular and molecular biology's biochemistry field, Elise Vogel took first in the senior division. In chemistry, Bryce Blackburn, Janae Jayme and Michael Peczuh took first, second and third respectively in the junior division. Sydney VanDyke, Brynne Hunt and Stefan Beckman did the same in the senior division. In computer science, Brookelyn Mele took first and Nicholas Hansen took second in the senior division.
In the Earth and Environment category, Tyler Procarione took first with Jayde Andreason bringing home second and Dyllan Black taking third in the junior division. Faith Martinez took first in the senior division. For engineering, Erika Breitenstein took first with Nick Kiahtipes placing second and Derek Young bringing home third in the junior division. In the senior division, River Manzanares took first with Ashton Sicilia finishing second.
In the materials and mechanical portion of the engineering category, Joelle Brunvand took first in the senior division and T.J. Cook took first in the senior division of the environmental management category. In mathematics and computer science Annika Hansen took first in the junior division. For mathematics, Jedd Morely took first in the senior division and in the medicine and health division, Erica Mantz, Cassandra Dalton and Malea Sweet took first, second and third respectively in the junior division.
Samantha Jones took first in the senior class with Taran White taking second. In physics and astronomy, Shawn Warren took first with Ashley Chatterton bringing home second and Cameron Shinner placing third in the junior division. In the senior class Luke Olsen brought home first with Nikell Tamllos taking second and Megan Jepson placing third in the senior division.
For the plant science area, Casandra Crook took first, Megan Fausett took second and Sara Cowley and Alexis Richens brought home third in the junior class. For the senior division, Dalan Weber and Darian Latimer took first and second respectively in the senior class.
In product testing's junior division, Lance Riche took first with Austin Stout finishing second and Grace and Samantha Tatton bringing home third.
The team project division was won by Samantha Bradley and Christine Jones with Austin Martinez and Daulton Nelson taking second and Katie Torres and Nick Torres taking third. In the energy and transportation division Skyler Larsen took first in the senior division with Jace McKinnon taking second and Erick Danley bringing home third.
The superintendent's award went to Megan Fausett in the junior division and Brookelyn Mele in the senior division. The CEU scholarship awards were presented to Faith Martinez, Luke Olsen and River Manzanares. The top ten outstanding junior division projects went to Bryce Blackburn, Nick Kiahtipes, Megan Fausett, Cassandra Cook, Tyler Procarione, Lance Riche, Derek Young, Forest Daniels, Erica Mantz and Shawn Warren. The senior division awards were received by River Manzanares, Joelle Brunvand, Jed Morley, Sydney VanDyke, Dalan Weber, Katie Torres and Nick Torres, Corey Sherman, Faith Martinez, Luke Olsen and T.J. Cook.
