PLEASANT VALLEY - Ronald Alan Rogers, age 50 of Pleasant Valley, passed away Jan. 3, 2009 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.

Ron was born May 28, 1958 in Roosevelt to Ray A and Flora Idell Tanner Rogers. He married Laura Kaye Byron; they later divorced. He married Ginette Rees Jan. 22, 2000 in Salt Lake City.

Ron loved the mountains, the beautiful outdoors and especially horses.

He had a soft spot for animals and was always feeding a stray.

Ron was a gentle man who was kind to everyone. He didn't have a lot,. but would help anyone who needed anything.

He never held a grudge, treated everyone equally and was always careful not to judge others.

He showed unconditional love to his family and friends and had a great admiration and love for his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ron is survived by his children, Joseph Ray (Rocky) Rogers, Vernal; Joshua Paul (Debra) Rogers, Price; Sarah Jean (Cody Caldwell) Rogers, Angela Renee (Nate Fairey) Rogers and Amanda Marie (Allen) Rogers, all of Vernal; his mother, Flora Idell Elder, Hancock Cove; brothers and sisters, Rex Rogers, Hancock Cove; Jacqueline (Leland) Stansfield, Idaho; Julie (Daniel DeLeon) Rogers, Hancock Cove; Robert (Joanne) Rogers, Roosevelt; Patricia Williamsen, Vernal; Katherine (Lynn) Christensen, Roosevelt; Valerie (Jim) Asher, Boneta; and Natalie Elder, Vernal. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Arthur Rogers; stepfather, Duane Abram Elder; grandparents, George Albert and Dicy Rae Rogers and Emery Alva and Rozetta Mae Tanner, nieces, Mandi Lyn Christensen and Laura Elizabeth Christensen.

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Myton LDS Chapel. Cremation followed services.
