PRICE -Lenna Beth Rich Echer, age 80, quietly left this world on Jan. 11, 2009 in Price.
She was born March 14, 1928 in Kenilworth to Leonard Jacob Rich and Florence Alena Norton Rich. She married John Russell Echer in Price on Dec. 22, 1949 and was sealed to him on Aug. 4, 2007 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Lenna Beth grew up in Carbon County. She obtained a beauty license two years after high school and followed in her mother's footsteps for 50 years, working as a beautician in her home.
Rarely apart, Lenna Beth and her husband, John, raised two daughters, saved money, paid off their home, traveled, boated, retired, golfed, ventured to numerous Denver Bronco games and visited family members, often, to keep family ties tight.
Lenna Beth delighted in her family. She always made time for them with visits, phone calls and margin filled letters.She loved people, especially children and babies. She enjoyed visiting and telling jokes. She loved playing cards with her children and grandchildren.
She was a hard worker and worked alongside Johnny.
She loved goodness.
She is survived by her husband, John Russell Echer; her daughters, Peggy Sue (Alden) Whitehead of Price, and Marilyn Kay (Jim) Robinson of Lehi; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Cleo (Garth) Larsen of St. Gerorge, and Edna Jackins of Denver, Colo.; and her brother, Robert (Dee) Rich of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Price 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 545 East 400 North. A viewing will be at 10 a.m. at the chapel in the Relief Society room. Interment, Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
