The proposal to make our region a case study for alternative energy is an exciting and positive development for Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Lining the Bookcliff rim from Rifle to Price with thousands of wind turbines will undoubtedly take years, and will create many thousands of local jobs throughout the region.

Having logged many a mile along the rim during the last 35 years I can attest to the sustainable wind-energy potential.
