PRICE - Joseph Edward Cawley Sr., age 70, passed away Dec. 21, 2008 in Price.
Joe was born Jan. 19, 1938, the first of three children born to Joseph Leslie and Mary Elenor Mooney Cawley. He married Sharon Day on Sept. 19, 1958 in Ely, Nev.
Joe grew up in Dragerton and graduated from Carbon High School in 1955. He attended CEU, receiving an associate of arts degree.
Joe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Joe served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War from 1955 to 1959.
Joe spent most of his working years in California before returning to Price in 2003. He worked as a electrical engineer in the steel mills and law enforcement while in California.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching TV and playing golf.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Joseph Edward Jr. of Price; and Lorrette (CW2 Chris) Crozier of Ellenwood, Ga.; sisters; Karla (Terry) Young of East Carbon; and Karen Dickson of East Carbon; granddaughters, Lorrieanna Hobbs of Price; Morgan (Sgt. Roman) Andrada of Fort Benning, Ga.; great-granddaughter, Tatiyana Andrada of Fort Benning, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, aunt and brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 2 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 South, Price. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery.
