Winter rentals available at CCR

Carbon County Recreation has many winter recreation equipment items for rent at prices that are very affordable. Those planning a winter activity but not wanting to go to a huge expense buying all the gear necessary to outfit the adventure can call CCR.

CCR has been renting winter equipment for years, but recently with the help of the Carbon County Commission, they have been able to offer a wide variety of equipment at rates that are almost unbelievable. Their newest item is cross country skis. Up until three years ago, there was not a place where Carbon County residents could rent cross country skis since. Finally CCR has cross country skis for rent to anyone interested. There are a limited number of sizes and skis available on a first come, first serve basis.

Ice skates are another very popular addition to the winter rental program. This is the fourth season that CCR will offer ice skate rentals and have added some new sizes. These skates may be used in many places in Carbon and Emery counties. Carbon County has its own outdoor ice pond located at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. This pond has doubled in size and now can accommodate more skaters. Call the fairgrounds at 636-3214 for ice conditions.

If planning on going anywhere in the back country this winter it is a must to be prepared. CCR offers a number of items that will not only completely outfit the adventure but make it safe as well.
