After CEU came away from Western Wyoming with a 79-77 win, they were treated to a 19th place junior college ranking in the latest polls.

The 12-0 Eagles are one of four SWAC teams now in the top 20. SLCC is 12th, CSI is 18th and NIC is 20th.

Four of the six teams in the conference in the top 20 shows how tough the competition is in the South Western Athletic Conference this season.

The women's team continues to prepare for conference play as well.

The Lady Eagles dominated their latest all-star opponent Saturday as they wrapped up their all-star play before the holiday break.

They beat the SLAS 95-43. Livat Alon led her team with 14 points. Amber Strong added 11, as the team scored at will.

The CEU men's game on Saturday against the Salt Lake All-Stars was canceled due to the fact that inclement weather and road conditions kept the visitors from traveling to Price.

The women will take to the road until Jan. 9 when they will begin conference play against Northern Idaho at 5 p.m. in their home gym at the BDAC.

The men's team will also begin conference play against NIC on Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
