HELPER - Our wonderful mom, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and good friend, Adeline M. "Dean" Losik Fowler, age 89, died Dec. 6, 2008 in Price with her son and daughter at her side.
She was born March 27, 1919 in Breezy Hill, Crawford County, Kan., to Steve and Phyllis Maffi Losik. She was the oldest of four sisters and the rock of her family.
Adeline married Leslie Price Fowler in Castle Dale on Nov. 5, 1938; he died July 19, 1954.
Member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Helper.
Mom was very proud to have been a coal miner's wife and daughter.
She loved baseball, especially her beloved Chicago Cubs, and her family was her life.
Mom, we love you with all our hearts and will miss you everyday.

Survived by her son, Gary L. (Peggy) Fowler, Grand Junction, Colo.; daughter, Sherry L. (Bruce) Christensen, Helper: sister, Viola Skriner, Spring Glen; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Les; parents; sisters, Marie Chubbuck and Gloria Marshall; and special friend, Nick Rukavina.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., at the church in Helper. Family will receive friends at the church Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home daily.
