PRICE - Our loving mother, yia yia, sister, aunt and friend to all, Androniki Pappas, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Dec. 6, 2008.
She was born May 17, 1920 in Aroni Crete, Greece, to John and Anna Katsoulakis Makridakis. Married Louis Pappas on Dec. 2, 1956 in Salt Lake City. Together, they had two wonderful sons, Tony and Johnny.
After her husband passed away April 12, 1974, she raised her two sons and supported them in their baseball and education endeavors. She was very proud of her sons and her very special grandson, Louis Nicholas.
Our family was truly blessed with the gift of Androniki. She always had a smile on her face and in her heart and loved by all whose life she touched. You could always count on the best coffee and Greek cookies in town on her front porch.
Her great example, passion for life, and family traditions are legacies that will always be treasured.
She was an active member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church and loved her church dearly.
