FARMINGTON - Donald W. Barham, a man greatly loved for his friendship, service and humor, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, in Salt Lake City.
He was born Jan. 3, 1934 in Sapulpa Creek, Okla., the cherished eldest son of six children to Donald and Virginia Granger Barham. Married JoAnn Buchanan on March 21, 1956 and they sealed their eternal love in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 6, 1965.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Shepard Creek LDS Ward in Farmington.
He actively served and shared his love, compassion and commitment to family and community through the LDS Church in many capacities, including Scout leadership, stake family history director and eight years of service in the Bountiful LDS Temple.
Survived by his devoted wife, JoAnn; four children; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. at the Fairways LDS Chapel, 1533 N. 1075 West, Farmington. Friends may call Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main, and Monday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
