WELLINGTON - Betty Lena Prettyman, age 79, passed away Nov. 11, 2008 in Wellington.
She was born April 19, 1929 in Richfield to Emil Martin and Ila Jean Elder Hansen. She married Bud Ernest Prettyman April 19, 1946 in Price. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on March 3, 1962.
Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Betty and Bud served two missions for the LDS Church in Gila, New Mexico; a temple mission at the Manti LDS Temple; and in many other callings.
Betty is survived by her children, Stella Johnson of Colorado, John "Jack" Prettyman of Wellington, Ernest (Doris) Prettyman of Helper, David (Kristy) Prettyman of Wellington, Jody Mortensen of Wellington and James (Charla) Prettyman of Emery; 23 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Ernest Prettyman, who died Nov. 19, 2003, parents; brother, Perry Hansen; sister, Jean Wardell; and granddaughter, Shayla Reeves.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center, 935 East Main. A viewing will be Friday, Nov.14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South in Price, and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery.
