Kleva Fountin Lamb

PROVO/PRICE - Kleva Fountin Lamb, age 88, died Nov. 8, 2008 at Castleview Hospital in Price.

She was born Feb. 26, 1920 in Logan, a daughter of Vivian E. and Emma Jean Liston Fountin. They moved to Salt Lake City and later to Orem, where she spent her youth. She attended Sharon Elementary, Lincoln junior and senior high and BYU.

She married John W. Lamb Jr. on May 4, 1941. They were lsealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 3, 1960.

They lived in Price, where he helped survey the township of Dragerton, which is now known as East Carbon.

They later moved to Provo, where they had two daughters.

Kleva's hobby was sewing dresses for her antique dolls. She enjoyed collecting antiques, going to DI and spending time with her family; making the best caramels and chip dip. She shared her cooking and sewing talents by assisting in Linda's catering and Diana's sewing businesses.

She served in the 4-H program and in many positions in the LDS Church, including visiting teacher, librarian and as a temple worker with her husband.

She was a secretary for several fruit marketing associations and as a credit reporter for Provo Credit Bureau for many years.

She spent the last nine months in Carbon County with family and friends. Her last residence was at the Heirloom Inn while convalescing from a fall.

Kleva is survived by her daughters, Linda (Darel) Conrad and Diana (Richard) Root; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy (Grant) Goates and Jerry (LeRoy) Kay. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Lamb, in 1992; sister, Dawn (William) Lankford; and grandson, Stephen M. Conrad.

Graveside services will Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. in the East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4800 North 650 East in Provo. Family and friends may call at Berg Mortuary, 185 E.Center Street, Provo, on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be sent to info@bergmortuary.com.

The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Radley, Parkdale Care Center, Heirloom Inn, Rocky Mountain Homecare Pro Rehab and the Castleview Hospital doctors and staff for their kindness and excellent care. They treated our beloved Kleva with dignity and respect.
