PRICE - Alice May Greathouse Orr, our loving mom and grandmother was taken home Oct. 12, 2008.

She was born June 17, 1928 to Voyle and Florence Irene Otten Greathouse in Clinton, Iowa. Alice married DeLos Orr on Oct. 17, 1953 in Salt Lake City; they were sealed July 22, 2008 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Mom was a comfort to all who knew her. Generous and loving to her family, friends and strangers alike.

Family was Mom's life. She loved her children and grandchildren with all she had. They were her proudest achievements.

Mom earned her degrees from CEU and Utah State in social sciences and psychology, which she obtained at 60 years of age.

As a counselor at the Price women's shelter, she helped many people with her wisdom and compassion.

Mom's message to all of us: "Love one another always."

Alice is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Steve) Meyer of Price; Kathleen (Rick) Price of Price; Merry Lee Elliott of Independence, Iowa; two sons, Patrick (Susan) Orr of Tooele; and William Elliott of Daron Port, Iowa; beloved grandchildren, Lonny G. Birch, Ryon (Amber) Price, Dixie (Rodd) Andrews, Richard A. Price, Vince Orr, Cameron Orr, Rachel Orr; great-grandchildren, Victor, Patience, Destinee, Hayden, Lyndee and Beaudee; and also grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her home state of Iowa. Preceded in death by her husband, DeLos Orr, in 2004; and two sons, Lormer Charles and Timothy Allen Orr.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center, 150 South 500 East. A viewing will be Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery.
