Emergency crews scrambled to the 400 East and 400 South railroad crossing at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning after a report came in that an eastbound Union Pacific train hit a pedestrian.
The situation was confirmed when the crews arrived and found a body under a train car a couple of hundred yards behind the engines.
The train, which stopped after the incident, was blocking traffic across all the intersections from Carbon Avenue to 400 East for some time as the Price Police and the Carbon County Sheriff's office investigated the accident.
