Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova awards $1,000 Utah Sheriffs Association scholarship checks to Elizabeth Kobe and Steven Brown. All recipients are Carbon High graduates. Kobe just graduated from Carbon High and will attend the College of Eastern Utah and then go on to a four year school to get a teaching degree. Brown plans to attend CEU, majoring in criminal justice and hopes to get into the police academy afterwards. Each year the association awards scholarships to worthy students in the area.
