The Carbon County Travel Bureau's Kathy Smith recently awarded the Best of the Best Award to Mark Bingham, a former Carbon County resident who has donated property and money to the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, as well as to other causes in the area. Bingham, who came to Price as a Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officer many years ago, has since built a fortune through a telephone directory business and other interests throughout his business life. The travel bureau gives the award periodically to businesses and individuals who have gone above and beyond promoting the area to tourists and visitors. Bingham's donation of property to the musuem gave the college the spot where they wanted to build the new Mesazoic Gardens, on the bluffs above Castleview Hospital.
