The Helper Youth Art Show, an exhibition of young artists will take place at the Helper City Auditorium in conjunction with this year's Helper Arts Festival. "The art of self-expression is something that all individuals should explore and become familiar with at a young age,"stated exhibition director and Carbon High student Sarah Morris. "With these ideals in mind, the idea for a youth art exhibit was created."

With the help of Emily Alleman, Helper artist, Kathleen Royster and Sally Mauro teacher Janet Bergera they prepared the students' art for the exhibition.

Young artists from Carbon and Emery County, ages five through 18 were asked to submit artwork to be displayed at this year's youth art show. Professional Helper artist and former professor of Art at the University of Utah, David Dornan juried the exhibition.

Opening reception is Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Helper City Park. The exhibition will continue through Sunday and will run from noon to 6 p.m. each day.
