Firefighters stand on Tammie Ware's porch, at 376 West Main in Wellington, working to extract the driver of a car that was broadsided by a car carrier.
The truck knocked the car across Ware's yard where it stopped inches from the porch Sunday at 5:30 p.m. The man was coming out of 400 West onto State Highway 6 when he was hit by a Julies Auto Transport truck out of Texas.
The 66-year-old driver of the car escaped with minor injuries and was reportedly wearing his seatbelt.
