Mining equipment still stands where it was left years ago

Numerous cable cars are suspended from cables above Sunnyside where mining operations ceased years ago. It looks in some places like the shift ended and the workers just walked away from the equipment. Rusty and old, it still stands as a monument to a time when the booming coal economy of the area grew up towns like weeds and made Carbon County a major player in the great industrial might of the United States.
