Cub Scouts from Troop 283 stand by a flagpole with their leaders learning how to take care of the flag when raising and lowering it. Proper care of the flag is paramount when handling the banner of the United States. Scouts learn how to hold it, and unfold it, then put it up. They are then instructed on how to fold it once it has been removed from the flagpole. In a few years these young boys will be doing this job regularly.
