Sunnyside city officials to open space for community and commercial rental
Sunnyside City is making available rooms in the Sunnyside City Hall and Community Center for all government and business uses. The city is anxious to use the space in the building.
Small businesses will be welcomed as well as government and service agencies. The city officials said they feel making this facility available to all government and business agencies would make services more accessible to the citizens of the area without having to come all the way to Price. Moab getting reel with upcoming film festival featuring area filmakers work
The Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission is hosting its second annual film festival. The "Get Reel in Moab" film festival will be held Oct. 10 and 11 in Moab at the newly renovated Star Hall.
Filmmakers from Grand, San Juan, Carbon and Emery County are invited to submit any piece of work created between October 2007 and September 2008. Submissions must be in by Sept. 8 to the Moab to Monument Valley Film Office.

Southeastern Utah District Health warns motorists about new child restraint laws
With travel season blooming in Carbon County, officials at the Southeastern Utah District Health Department would like to remind local drivers about recent changes to child restraint laws.
The current law reads, the operator of a motor vehicle on a Utah highway shall provide for the protection of a person younger than eight years of age by using a child restraint device and booster. Children younger than eight are not required to be in a booster seat if they are at least 57 inches tall, at which point they should wear their lap and shoulder belt without the booster, according to the SEUDHD.
