Teachers come back early to prepare for opening of school

Contrary to some peoples thinking, teachers just don't come to school the first day of classes and begin teaching. Many return even earlier than their contract dictates to put together lesson plans, decorate their classrooms and otherwise get ready for students. It takes a lot of planning to keep a classroom operation running.
